Chevrolet or GM diesel pickup into a alternative
fuel vehicle with this auxiliary fuel system from
American Tank. This system can be safely used with
diesel fuel, bio diesel fuel, or non hydrogenated
vegetable oil. Our fuel system starts with an
aluminum fuel tank or fuel tank with toolbox on
top. This complete fuel system includes all parts
necessary for basic installation by the average "Do
It Yourselfer". Many states now allow you to deduct
the cost of a hybrid conversion for your current
vehicle. Check with a tax professional to find out
if tax credits are available in your
area. American's
auxiliary fuel tanks are constructed of .125 (1/8) inch
3003 marine grade diamond plate aluminum with a
brightly polished finish. This fuel tank was
designed specifically for use as a vegetable oil
tank and features a built in heat exchange designed
for this capacity and design of tank. This is not
our standard diesel tank with a "universal drop in"
heater screwed into the top. Fuel slosh and engine
starvation are never a problem due to our unique
triple baffle system that is built into every tank
we sell. The tank also has a sending unit installed
that will display the fuel level on your factory
fuel gauge. If you'd like a separate fuel gauge,
one can be added for an additional charge. The
tanks or toolbox tank combination will fit under
most bed covers. Don't settle for an
inferior quality tank that is designed for fuel
storage, or a so-called auxiliary tank that is not
offered with an installation kit. This is a
complete waste vegetable oil, straight vegetable
oil, or bio diesel fuel system that will also work
with diesel fuel. Priced here with installation
kit, your auxiliary fuel system will ship
pre-assembled for easy installation by the average
do-it-yourselfer. Price does not include shipping

freight so expect to spend $150 to $175 for

not include an additional fuel filter like many
companies push. Most of our customers are filtering
their fuel to 2 or 3 microns before it's pumped
into the tank. (The correct way to do it…) Why
spend hundreds of dollars for an additional filter?
If you are not filtering your fuel to below 6
microns, we do offer an inline filter for an
additional charge. We like the Racor 300 RC series
designed specifically for bio diesel
applications. This kit does not
include an additional fuel pump. We've run
thousands of Chevrolet or GM diesel trucks over the
last 10 + years for millions of miles using the
factory installed fuel pump on our auxiliary fuel
systems without a problem. This fuel system
can be installed on any ¾ or one ton Chevrolet
or GM diesel truck to 2007. Specify what year truck
you have when ordering so that we can include the
